Girls' Names...
Same deal. All the names I would actually consider from the SSA Top 500. (please keep commenting on the boy post too though! I need help!)
-Emily
-Elizabeth
-Grace
-Caroline
-Oh, how I want to put Lucy on this list... but there is a Lucy in our neighborhood... come to think of it, there's a Caroline too, so that's probably totally out.
-Harper
-Genevieve
-Eliza (always loved 'Liza and that song "little Liza Jane" LOL!)
(sidenote: Krystyna, did you know that Anya is actually on the top 500 list from 2008? I was surprised when I came across that!))
Wow... I just realized how few girls' names I love. Yikes. Maybe I should expand this to the top 1000... here we go...
-Clare
-Rory
And the following ones that didn't see on the list --
-Josie
-Eleanor
-Molly
And yeah, so that wasn't so helpful.
Anyone got any girl names to add? Because this is not much of a selection. Also, if anyone could come up with any name other than Millicent or Mildred that shorten to "Millie"? I'm all ears.

It would take my poor potential Genevieve a long time to write her name...but, like my niece with Anastasia with the letter "A"... once she masters "E" it's coasting from there. ;) If you feel sorry for her now, wait until you see what the WHOLE name would be if we went with Genevieve. ROFL.
Ha! Some of those names are on our list too! I'll post...
You and I have similar taste in names. I take it as a compliment.

How funny that you have Lucy, Emily, and Caroline - I wonder if Katie's 3rd baby's name is on your list too?? I know that Harper is a name that often comes up as a "cousin" to Piper since they have similar sounds and people who like one tend to like the other.
I like Genevieive - would you call her that or use a NN? Love Rory!! Such character!
Not a fan of Josie - I've known too many dogs named Josie. (Like 4 of them!)

I love Genevieve, talk about a spelling nightmare, though! Did you know Amy B. named her baby, born in December, that? :-) It's beautiful.
Amy B... is that the makeup girl? And thanks! It's actually after Tom's grandmother, so it's a double winner for us. But yes, a spelling nightmare. She'd learn to deal though. ;)
I love, love, love Harper. And I know someone who named his daughter that! And then he had a son named Holden. Love that, too.
Girls names I love (other than what's on your list):
Morgan
Hallie/Halle
Aurelia
Jordan :)

Parenting.com suggests Millie could also be short for Amelia, Camilla, or Camille- could it also be short for Emily? And my sister's best friend is Jenevieve. Growing up she was Jenny, and now she prefers Jena, if you were thinking of using a nickname. I asked her and she said she never really had an issue with learning to spell it since she didn't know any different or that it was supposed to be hard.
I wouldn't get too worried about the spelling the name problem. I got some slack from my aunt who is a first grade teacher over Caroline Elizabeth and she picked it up quickly - I made her a little song and that made it easy. If you love Genevieve, go go go! :)
One of my friends' daughters is named Genevieve. It's Genna for short, and that's what she learned to spell first. Such a beautiful name!
I love Rory and Harper - I would totally use those if I was having more! My husband is a teacher though, so we have a lot of trouble finding names we agree on - he has so many tainted names... Though after watching Arrested Development, we both loved the name Maeby!

LOL, Katie! I know!! That gave me a little boost of confidence with that name... although I haven't yet sold Tom on it.
