Oh Shucks!

I just read you can't take the Intelligender test if you are on progesterone supplements. (it will always read "boy".) You have to wait until at least 10 days after you stop the treatment. Lameness. I wouldn't be able to take it until 16 weeks or so, which kinda makes it sort of dumb to do seeing as I'd have an ultrasound 2-3 weeks later. Ah well...

Comments:
Nooooooo! Lame.

I know, I'm really rather bummed about it. I was looking forward to a little first trimester pick-me-up. I can't even figure out any way around it... I HAVE to take the medicine until at LEAST 12 weeks, though I usually stay on it a few weeks longer to be safe. So annoyed! :(

What is progesterone??? I have never heard of the Intelligencer test thingy before. You could always go for the neck-fold test and try to get them to get the gender.

I know someone that did it and it was wrong. I think she got her money back though.

Katie, I've had a bunch of very early miscarriages (two that my doctor has on record, but at least four that i know of), and my mom also had m/c (though further into pregnancies) and it was because of a progesterone deficiency. After the second m/c before Simon, my doctor put me on the supplement just as a "what the heck" effort and it worked. We will never know for sure if that's WHY Simon stuck (or why this one stuck) but I wouldn't NOT take it now, since it has no negative side effects to the baby.

LOL. I considered letting them do the neck fold test this time, but it could lead to so many other invasive tests that I don't want. I dunno... we'll see. ;) That's at like 11 weeks, right? That's probably too early anyway...
