Eh.
So maybe I should use this blog as my place to talk about things I don't want to discuss on my other blog? (since it's obviously not being used to document any pregnancy at the moment)
Here's what's on my mind (or actually, heh.. NOT on my mind) currently -- S-e-x.
I'm apathetic about it best these days. It's gotten so bad that I'm thinking of bringing it up to my gyn at my annual appointment in August. I did bring it up last year (yeah, I've been pretty apathetic for awhile now) and she said "eh... two kids, It's your stage of life... so much more complicated for women than men... I've tried prescribing women testosterone patches and this and that and it's all hit or miss." But yeah, thinking of mentioning it again this year because seriously, we'll NEVER have a third child at this rate. LOL! I just don't care. Sleep ALWAYS trumps sex in my book and frankly, I'm ALWAYS tired. Plus I feel like I'm constantly distracted by all that needs to be done around here... and at the end of the day, frankly I just want time to myself.
My husband of course, is all in a tiz about it. Personally, I think our relationship is completely fine. I love him as much as I always have. I'm just tired all the time and sex is the last thing on my mind at the end of a long day of taking care of people. I just wish I actually could muster the energy ONCE in awhile so he wouldn't worry so much.
I don't think I'm depressed or anything either! I'm actually pretty happy with my life, except for this one element.
I know I'm not alone... right? Right?
Is this thing on?

I'm right there with ya! (Though I am only 7 weeks PP). I seem to want it more when I'm pregnant, ironically. Don's anxiously awaiting our first "encounter" post baby, but I don't forsee it happening ANYTIME soon. If I'm getting into bed, I'm falling asleep. No time for anything else! ;-)
Bravo to you for bringing this up. Geesh, I'm exactly the same way. Exactly. But add a breastfeeding infant to the equation and it's even worse. I'm just so over touched these days. I want to just go to bed and sleep. I too love my husband as much as ever but man, this stage is tough. It only took us one month to get Piper, which I'm glad about for many reasons. (I think my husband was slightly disappointed though....ha ha!) Speaking of sleep, I better go there now. Just know you are not alone. It's hard to be everything to everyone isn't it?
If there is one thing I have learned from blogging and reading other blogs, it's that I am never alone, no matter what the issue is... there is ALWAYS someone else out there going through the same thing!
Perhaps I should password this blog though if we are going to delve into these topics... hrm...

and Val, I will say this, the "first encounter" post SECOND baby is way less unpleasant than the first encounter post fIRST baby... at least, in my experience. LOL.
sex? what is this sex of which you speak? i seem to recall something like that from years ago...but nothing in recent memory. ;) actually, in our house the problem is usually the opposite. i've always been into more than the hubby. probably a lot to do with the differences in our experiences before we were together. although recently, i would just rather sleep too. no baby #2 around here for awhile.
