I miss...

peeing on sticks. What is wrong with me?

Also, remind me to delete all this drivel when I actually DO get pregnant again. It's just nice to be able to ramble on somewhere other than my other blog... if I ramble on about all this stuff there, I feel like I'm repeating myself over and over again. But it's on my mind a lot and it's nice to get it out.

I'm back to thinking I like the name Avery for a boy... I had dumped it when I was pregnant with Simon, but now I think it's back on the list. I watched Charlotte's Web with Ben the other day and was reminded how much I like it. However, Fern, for a girl, is just not a name I can get behind. Now, Charlotte, on the other hand -- I do like that name. If I do have a girl next time, I will have a big problem because she will definitely be my only girl and one and only chance at naming a girl. It will definitely be a tough decision. At least I feel like I've gotten to dole out my fair share of boy names and have gotten to use my two favorites...

Since I Can't Try to Get Pregnant Yet...

...I am just busying myself coming up with names I like. Here's my question to you, dear readers (all two or three of you)...
How much do initials matter? Let's say you come up with a first/middle name combination that you love to pieces, but then it turns out the initials spell a word. Not a word that is destined to have your child be made fun of for it (Like A.S.S, or P.M.S. or P.I.G. or whatever)... but just a word... that could possibly be turned into a really annoying and bad-ass sounding nickname. Would you avoid that combination?

My default boy #3 middle name has always been Douglas, since the other two boys have parts of Tom's various names in their names (Thomas and Davis) and Tom has yet another middle name because his parents were indecisive or something... So I figured boy #3 shouldn't be left out. But I really dislike the name Douglas and it doesn't go with ANY of the boy names I like. There are no other good family names floating around on either side for use as a suitable middle name, and I have a boy name in my back pocket that I could never use as first name because Tom has always vetoed it, but would work well as a middle name.

Blah blah blah... it's all so hypothetical. I think I just want to name something. Maybe I should get a gerbil.

No Rush!

My mom's GYN recently retired and she liked my ob/gyn who delivered Simon so much that she switched to her. She really WAS wonderful... so kind and SUCH a good doctor. Sadly, Dr. Aziz told me when I went in for my first visit during Simon's pregnancy that she was getting out of OB that December. I was sad (because I liked her already) and annoyed because now I'd have to hunt for yet ANOTHER OB to deliver my next baby.

Then, a few months ago, I heard a rumor that she was STILL delivering. I told my mom went she went in to ask how long she'd be sticking with it andd Dr. Aziz told her THREE MORE YEARS (and then she said she still might not be able to quit because she loves it too much). Woohoo! That gives me plenty of time to pop out Three. :) I'm thrilled!

Now, to just figure when to start trying so as to not screw up the family 2010 Disney trip. ;P (or our upcoming January '09 trip with MY family!) The window of opportunity will be small... so hopefully, things will happen faster than they did last time!
