I Just Don't Get It...

Maybe it's just because I spend from 6-9:30 a.m. every day dry heaving.... but I JUST do not understand how you can be pregnant... like REALLY pregnant... and not know it! And to actually not know until you give birth?!? Seriously. ??!?!

Comments:
Yeah, I tend to agree with you...how could one possibly be unaware of SOMETHING going on? How oblivious does one have to be not to notice a basketball growing under your shirt?

my friend works in a hospital and was with a lady who came in with severe constipation...turned out she was IN LABOR!!!
she had no clue the whole time and was terrified as she had nothing for a baby and didn't even want a baby!
i think she gave it up for adoption in the end! how sad and scary for them!

ya the whole thing is strange, I guess in the defense of that woman, she was still having a period..so maybe the weight gain wasnt weird and she doesnt look like the :basketball belly: "type". But still. Kicking? pushing..stretching..HOW ON EARTH would she not question that. If I didnt have the basketball,I would seriously think I was invaded by an alien..I dont get how clueless people can be.

Hi, I am really enjoying following your SECOND (wow) Pregnancy. I tried that link but it didn't work for me, can you send me the link in email if you feel ok today. ratspeak@gmail.com thanks.

Hey Deb! :) I can't get it to work now either! I dont' know if it's temporarily down or if cnn took it down. Either way, it was about a woman who didn't know she was pregnant until 3 hours before she gave birth. Incredible!

Thanks! I heard of a lady that was a logger and was up on a telephone pole, (this was years ago) and she went into labor and didn't know it either. But they explained that she was a manly type woman in build and didn't even look pregnant. She thought she was just hurt/sick. I am so glad you keep blogging. I found you so many years ago when I had my hysto and wow your having a second wee one. So exciting. eh, I get carried away. i will stop typing now.

Sometimes you can just be stupid about things like health. I know its not the same thing, but one of my friends was just questioning how it could possibly have taken a year for me to realize I was lactose intolerant, given that I threw up everytime I drank milk. But I drank a lot of milk with meals, so as far as I was concerned I was just throwing up after every meal. And since I felt fine the rest of the time and I was busy, I never thought about talking to a doctor. So stupid in retrospect.
